I have raised many chickens that I purchased from a hatchery but I am trying something new and I find that I am as dumb as a box of rocks. what I am endeavoring to do is to start a flock of Bantams. Light Brown Dutch. I ordered eggs from ebay and was able to raise 6 out of 21 with one with deformed feet. The second batch of 20 eggs I only got 3 to hatch and one of them has deformed feet. My third set of 20 eggs are set to arrive tomorrow.
I think that most of my problems are "Shipped E-bay Eggs."
A little about myself, I am 77 yrs old and am a retired pastor.
I live in NE South Dakota.
Am married
Have a wonderful insulated coop and have always had layers before.
I guess I can use all the help I can get.
