This is my second Cav. My first lived for 14 years! I love them. They are so mellow, easy to train, great with people and other dogs. The only downside is the price. It's worth it researching a reputable breeder that does all the health tests but you pay for it. If this one lives as long as my first, it'll be worth it. His name is Kodiak because he's obviously so bog and scary. lol
How awesome, my family used to be Akita breeders, they are large but they never bark at anything except if they think something is wrong.

What was the disposition like on your Welsummer? It's funny, as a baby chick she was the most friendly and docile. Loved being held. But as she grew older, she grew more and more flighty. Now she's a nervous nelly. She's also lowest on the pecking order in my flock, which may be a contributing factor.
My wellie hens are slightly skittish, but my rooster Mary, was the sweetest rooster, next to his EE brother Blossom, of course, both deceased.
He didn't care about the hens whatsoever, strangely, but he and his brother would fight over me!:lau
His EE brother was a true ladies' man, although blind in one eye, but sweet as sugar!
