I’m new at incubating eggs. I joined BYC to get informative information on hatching. I currently have 11 chickens and 3 ducks that I purchased as babies in Sept. 2020. They were purchased at Tractor Supply and I got lucky purchasing them as straight runs. I only ended up with one Roo all the others are hens. My ducks were purchased at the same time as straight runs and I ended up with 2 female and 1 male. I just had my first hatch in the incubator that were khaki Campbell eggs. I purchased 6 on eBay and had 3 developers. They all were malpositioned, I was able to save one by helping it hatch. Thanks to BYC.

Welcome to BYC from Arizona! This is the place to be for all your chicken news, connections to fabulous fowl folks and more!

Sounds like you are off to a great start - even incubating! I'm looking forward to incubating this year, I've only bought chicks or pullets to start my flock up till now. Lucky break only getting 1 roo!

Only one roo! What luck!
