Hi!
We are the Doziers and we are relatively new to raising chickens. We currently are three fourths into our first year of owning any. We currently only have three hens. Two of them are older girls at about 4 years of age but we are hoping they will pass their knowledge on to chicks we hope to get it hatch (one of them gets very broody) in the spring. The two older girls are a plymouth barred rock and an ameraucana mix (the broody one). Our youngest is maybe just a year old and is a sapphire gem.
We are in Virginia and would love to find out more about heritage breeds and helping save them from extinction. So if someone could point us to other enthusiasts or heritage breed clubs then we would be grateful.
