Hello from Idaho!
I’m new to this group-I haven’t had chickens in approx 40 years. In late February I bought a package deal of coop, run, and all the accessories and 11 laying hens of various breeds. I’ve always liked Rhode Island Reds-which I think I have 8 of, but my fav in this bunch is a Barred Rock.
My hubby and I are looking to homestead and are searching for a small acreage, for our horses dogs and chickens.
I am looking forward to retiring. I am a Professional Dog Groomer, and my hubby is also looking forward to retiring he is a Mid Haul Truck Driver.
I look forward to learning a lot from this site. What brought me here was my interest in mealworms. I purchase the dried ones for my laying ladies, and they go crazy over them-so I thought it might be financially beneficial to raise them myself!
