Hanging lettuce too. Sometimes when there is no male a female may be dominant over the other birds and even mock mait them to show her dominance. You will find a lot of good information here Good luck and have fun...

Isn’t the lettuce fun?? I will have to watch their behavior and learn more. The dominant one is also protective of the flock I noticed… fascinating watching them interact.
