Hello, I am a new member as well this page yesterday! welcome and I am sure we will both learn little by little. I have not purchased chicks yet maybe within a week or so.
kind of nervous but super excited my three daughters are supposed to lend a hand. One of my daughters is scared of cats so I don't think I can't see her trying to hold one lol.
I live in Cleveland and hope to be friends with you and see your cute little beauties.

Hello everyone! New Member. We got our first chicks on 02/15 seven in total. We have two Barred Rocks and the remaining five are assorted colored egg layers. As of right now, I love their behavior and watching them grow. They are amazing! Since I'm new to chickens I've enjoyed their company has been great! I enjoy gardening, camping, nature, reading, my three dogs, (Dexter, Lili Bele, and Lexi Rose) one cat (Mr. Kitty) and now chickens! I will be naming our chicks after women in my life whom I've admired. This list includes our Grandmothers, Mothers and Aunts. My husband is building our chicken coop in our shop. We live in Iowa.

I found BYC when I was looking into chicken ailments trying to increase my knowledge, so it was roughly a month ago. I liked what I saw in this group and thought it would be a great resource. Thank you!
