Just introducing myself as a new member. I have 5 black bard rock, 5. Cochin , one yellow chicken I’m not sure of the breed and two Cayuga ducks. I didn’t realize how much personality chickens had because historically I have not liked birds at all nor have I liked chickens very much, because anything that will run around after you cut his head off is a little on the creepy side for me. But I’ve gotten so attached to my girls to in particular are very attached to me. In fact, one of them likes to get up on some thing and then run where she can look in the bedroom window. I guess if she was a he she would be a peeping Tom lol. She also likes to fly up and sit on my shoulder, which was somewhat alarming the first time that happened. They’re all very gentle so my purpose of being part of this community is to learn from others, experiences and wisdom, to make sure that my chickens are the happiest healthiest chickens they can be, I’ve already gained a tremendous amount of knowledge from other members and I appreciate each and everyone of you. So thank you for letting me be part of your community.
