I love this site. I’m a new chicken owner and always interest in advice. I have 3 silkies and 4 Dotties. My silkie rooster has gotten really noisy later. Any advice to get him to crow less?

So glad you decided to join us. Some roosters crow at everything, its just what they do. At night make sure its totally dark in the coop and that should help him crow less not seeing the moon, street lights, dawn, etc... Day time is a tougher situation. Good luck!

Welcome to BYC. I have 3 roosters and 13 cockerels. The cockerels crow almost all day (unless a rooster is nearby) the roosters crow early mornings and in the evenings when calling their flocks in to roost. Other than that, the roosters don't crow much at all.
If you have a cockerel, he may crow less as he matures.

Welcome to BYC! We're glad you joined us! Your little fella might crow less as he matures. Most do, but it's not guaranteed. I've had roosters who would crow all day long. And I've had some who only crowed in the mornings. It really depends on his personality. Best of luck with him.
