Hello! I am a new member! My name is Rebecca and my 12 year old son, Jaime, and I decided to take the leap to build a coop, chickens and now a rooster :)

I do have some important and immediate questions if anyone could help me? The rooster we chose is a Serama (as far as I know) but we do not know it's age. I'll attach a picture. He did already have spurs and is crowing (a lot LOL) He's approximately 10 inches tall at the head if that helps. My concern is that his wattle and comb do not seem to be very developed and I have no idea if that is normal? Thank you for any info and or advice!

Hello Rebecca and Welcome to BYC. Glad that you have joined this poultry loving community. I do not know what is normal for a Serama rooster. I just know that I like the way the can perform their little dance on the judge's table. Good luck to you and Jaime on you new adventure in chickens.

For you, George...

He is not a pure Serama. Maybe a game bird mix. Likely at least 18 months old.
He's pretty!!
