(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? New to chickens, brought them home at 8 weeks in September from friends who ordered a lot as hatchlings.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 6
(3) What breeds do you have? Australorp, Rhode Island Red, Wyndotte, Buckeye, Welsummer
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Fun to watch, entertaining
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Horses, dogs, hiking, travel
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My husband and I are raising 2 of our grandkids (8 & 6), lots of time outside.
1 horse, 1 pony, 3 dogs (2 Aussies and 1 Aussie/German shep cross), 2 cats and the chickens.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Google, looking for different ideas for enrichment, and happy, healthy chickens.
