Hello and Welcome to BYC! Glad to have you in this poultry loving community. Sorry about your loss and I'm so glad we do not have weasels here. I have to defend against bob cats, raccoons, and foxes. l haven't seen coyotes close but they can be heard in the distance. I understand having to work alone so much of the time. Now that my wife is on oxygen she helps but not like she used to could.
I understand what you are saying. My husband was disabled 12 years ago and was on oxygen for 6 of those years. He had a stroke in july 2022 and passed away in October, 2022. He was such a driving force on the farm even when he couldnt do the work. He is sorely missed.
