Kinda new to raising chickens. I've got 2 winters under my belt. I've got 7 chickens, with a lot of personality. I think they are Isa Browns. Daily layers. We live just outside Halifax.
We use a shed as a coop. I free range them as much as possible. They like people, so during garden season they stay in their run. Have to keep the neighbours happy.
We have 3 nesting boxes. 2 exactly the same and all 7 only use 1. One of the same ones.
