I’m definitely learning about my girls, I have never seen such drive to be a mama. It’s unimaginable all that these precious babies will go through and endure to be a mama.Hiya, Linda, and welcome to BYC!
Sorry about your hens not hatching any...has to be frustrating but they don't give up so sooner or later you'll have little chicks running around again!
Additionally, when I figure out how to post pictures, I will be happy to show off and brag on these feathered friends, lolThank you, I am super excited to get your response. I am so excited to be part of this group. Didn’t have a clue one existed. Linda
Thank you so much

I think you’re right, I also struggle with having too many too. I don’t know about everyone else regarding this next statement and I know there is a pecking order, however it does break my heart and makes me mad at the same time to see the treatment each one can endure when the pecking order is being established. Just part of it I guess. I’m contemplating on moving one of my girls because she is so shy and timid and will not take up for herself. I will figure it out. Additionally, she’s one of the ones that has been on the nest for what seems like all summer trying to hatch out little onesHiya, Linda, and welcome to BYC!

They all need a break for a week or two between sitting on eggs/being broody though. It's not healthy to be permanently affixed to a nest for months.
