The injured baby chick
The ones that come to our backyard and we feed. I call them the neighborhood chickens. The hen I took the chick from was a chick the first time it came to our backyard.

Mixed, he had chihuahua, but I don't know what else. It was actually a neighbor that had a friend who was giving the puppies away.

Oh, okay. I get it now. I didn't realize that chick you saved was from a visiting hen. Glad you rescued it, though, as it wouldn't have lived otherwise. You're doing great with it!

Thank you so much. I think she only had 3 eggs, my husband is the one that keeps track of who's who. I saw the hen pecking the chick on the head. When I had the chance, I took her.
