Hello. I’m a new member, but I’ve been raising chickens on and off for about 15 years. When I decided to try raising some chickens from babies, that’s when I got online and found backyard chicken. I watched a video and it was wonderful. Made life simple.

I’ve raised only egg laying birds. I’ve had ameraucanas, buff orphintons, and black australorps. Right now I have 5 retired hens and 11 new ladies. They are a part of the family.

I’m retired now too, which gives me a lot more time to invest in the girls. Different things come up with them, so I always come back here to find answers.
