Hi my name is Gabbie, I live in South Carolina and I’m a new member!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I’ve been around them all my life but last year was my first year raising them myself as chicks.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 10
(3) What breeds do you have? Gold Lace Wyandotte, Cream Legbar, Sapphire Splash, and Easter Eggers
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Watching them forage around and scratch around after rain looking for worms
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I also like raising ducks and I’ve recently gotten into gardening a little bit. I also love to read.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I work as a Vet Tech, I have 5 dogs, a kitten, a fish and a snake. This year I hope to get more into farming and my long term goal is to have my own farmstead
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I saw the group pop up on Facebook about 2 years ago but hadn’t had any of my chickens yet and last year I couldn’t find the Facebook group (because I couldn’t remember the name) so when I finally found it again this year I made sure to join as soon as I could.
