Hi, I’m in SE PA, after many years of bugging my husband for chickens, he finally relented this year. I told him it would be four hens and 1 roo to start. Fast forward 4 months and we have 11 hens, 2 roosters, 3 ducks, and as of yesterday, 14 chicks with several more eggs under 2 broody silkies. Chicken math at work. I have used BYC forums on several occasions so far and I love the positive support that is offered from fellow chicken keepers.

Hello! Welcome to BYC! That is a great example of chicken math!
