Hi y'all! New member here. We have had backyard chickens for 3 years. We currently have 13 laying hens and 1 rooster. Our flock is a mix of breeds including Barred Rocks, Laced Wing Wyandotte's, Rhode Island Reds, and more. We absolutely love the eggs and excitement chickens have brought to our lives, but also realize we have a lot to learn. Despite living in a rural area, there are not many poultry vets, resources, etc. I have referenced BYC.com many times over the years and decided to join my first forum.
