Here in the U.S., winter is coming, which is when most of our chickens start laying less or not at all. It's said they live longer when they rest for a few months, which makes sense.

We're glad you're here!

Welcome to the BYC. Winter is upon us here in the Buckeye state, and thus, our chickens' egg production has slowed down drastically. I have close to 50 chickens and am lucky to gather an egg or 2 lately, but things should pickup once spring arrives with more sunshine.
