Hello I’m a new member here from mid Wales in the uk. I’ve been keeping chickens for a few years on and off. I’ve had around 4-8 ex layers from a local free range farm for several years but after losing a few to old age in the spring I decided to have a go at hatching. I then increased my flock to around 30 hens and a few cocks. I’ve currently got ex layers, hybrid layers, cream crested legbar a small but growing collection of Pekins and my prized buff Orpington trio. I’ve got 3 cocks a cream legbar, BO, and a Pekin. I’ve enjoyed hatching so much I bought a Brian sea ovation 28 and am hoping to raise plenty of chicks this year. Ima full time gardener so I get to spend all day outside in all whether and spend my weekends in my own garden with the chickens.
