Hi! My name is Cheryl and I live in southern Indiana with my daughters, Emily, 16 and Claire, 14 and my husband Seth. I am the 4-H poultry club leader and the poultry superintendent for my fair. I also work in the Extension Office. I have been reading posts on BYC for a long time, but finally joined. We usually attend the Ohio National in Columbus. This year we took a couple of Jersey Giants, Nankins and a Bourbon Red turkey. We won reserve grand champion turkey in Juniors and were very excited. In the Poultry Press they had our turkey listed, but someone elses name, but we don't care we have the ribbon. We are always happy just to place. We got started with poultry when my oldest started in 4-H and it's a wonderful family project. I happen to be looking for a poultry judge for this years fair so if you know anyone let me know. We also have a few bantams, Dutch, Wyanndottes and Brahmas. We experiment a lot. I have already learned a lot from BYC and hope to get to know as many poultry people as possible.
