hi everyone i have been keeping chickens for about 2 years now,we started with two 1 day old chicks for the kids (my boy was 5 my girl 2) they turned out to be an australorp and an isa brown.they wher good layers but not good pets for young kids.So we gave them to my sons school coop.i did some resurch and decided on pekin bantums,but my husband was not keen on the size the eggs would be so i brought a light sussex as well as 2pekin bantums for the kids.i decided to join because i have had alot of questions over the past couple of months and have found answers on your site to be very helpfull.
