ok lol aint very good a computer thing you talking to a sawmill worker strong back weak mind. and anything i can learn would greatly be appreciated. new to the different breeds. any suggestions on bedding for chickens. thinking on using wood chips from where i work. no pine tho got only hard wood. is this safe?

I see no problem with hard wood chips - it's cedar you can't use, due to the oils causing respiratory problems.

I have two pullets and a rooster watching tv with me right now. The roo is a special needs ornamental breed which got beat up several times so he's a house chicken now, but the pullets just didn't get put out into the rest of the flock yet.

Safe? Don't know- usually recommend pine. I use straw/hay. But my girls have an old camper for their coop! I heard one person say she used leaves and hay

no cedar cut where i work. one last brain teaser. i bought a few chickens of various breeds. i got a blue cochin hen. would it be safe to let her sit on my easter eggers eggs? n if so what is a safe way to mark they eggs for date was put in with her?
