Hi Everyone,
Looking forward to learning a lot. Trying to figure out how to raise laying hens in our backyard. Been looking at chicks from Meyers Hatchery, but have not made any final decisions, yet. It is still very cold here--in the mountains of western Maryland.. Planning to get the chicks in mid-May.
Your input would be appreciated.
Mark

Meyers is a very good hatchery! I just got mine - 16 - in a snow storm and they were all alive. I live in Ohio btw . Good luck !

Hi and :welcome from Ohio. So glad to have you aboard. I have purchased from Meyer for many years. You are wise to wait until the weather warms a bit for your location. :thumbsup
