Hello All! Finally decided to join instead of just lurking.

Little bit about me. My husband, my daughter, and I are in the process of building a coop for our flock that is currently living in our garage. We've got 24 chicks, a mix of Black Sex Links, Rhode Island Reds, Australorps, Orpingtons, Americauna/Easter Eggers, and some unknown Bantams. I will be posting pictures of those girls later to see if you guys can help me figure out what they might be. This will be my first time raising laying hens. I have raised broilers and showed turkeys for 4-H when I was a teenager. My daughter, who is 20 months old, loves her "Peeps" and I am very excited to be raising these chicks. I'm glad that I found this site. It has already been very helpful in this new adventure. Anything you would like to know please feel free to ask away. Thanks!
