Hey, just joined though I've been reading the helpful tips for a couple months.

Now on Day 11 with the new chicks. One died this morning. I had her in with three turkey chicks. Lots of instructions say the turkeys need the chicken chicks to teach them to eat and drink. I wish the instructions said to remove the chicken after the turkeys learn. Poor thing was pecked and bleeding when I separated her. She died about12 hours later.

It has been a steep learning curve so far.

You're right once the turkey teachers(chicks) have done their job - they should go back to being chickens. I never would have thought the turkeys would attack them either.
