Hi I'm new and as you can tell by my user name I am crazy about poodles! I have 3 tiny toy poodles they are I'm my avatar. I have had chickens for 4-5 years. I got my first chicken on the side of the road when I was coming home from work one day. I bought her from a man that didn't speak English for $10. She was a good chicken I kept her in my room in a dog crate until I had the courage to tell my mother that I bought another pet, lol (it was only for 2 days). After I finally told her about Rose I made a pin for her outside with chicken wire. Well long story short she got killed by my Aunts dogs. I was so sad, I didn't want anymore chickens ever. But my mom liked having the fresh eggs so she made me get more and that is what started my chicken crazy phase, lol. Now it's been 4 years and we have had and still have so many chickens. We have had a lot of deaths and mishaps but, I can say that my Aunts dogs never killed another one of my chickens! I will never forget Rose the one that started it all! Now my whole family has been converted to chicken keeping!
So here are some pictures (I hope) of the chickens I have had and one or two I still have. The ones in the bunk bed are the two I got after Rose died.
