Welcome to BYC!

Congrats on the new chicks! If you need some tips and hints on raising your new babies, you will want to stop by our learning center here on BYC. Lots of good reads on all aspects of keeping poultry from building the coop, raising your babies, feeding your adult birds and keeping then healthy and safe....

Enjoy your new brood and welcome to our flock!

Thanks!
Well the first thing is I have 6 assorted bantams rightnow and 4 more egg layers on the way, hhowever, they are coming at different times. Is there an introduction process I need to know about with different aged chicks?

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Congratulations on your new chicks, good luck with them! How easy it is to introduce chickens to each other depends on the age, if they are young chicks and only a few weeks apart it is usually no problem to combine them after a week or so. If there is a big age difference you will want to wait until they are about the same size and do it gradually.. there is a good article in the Learning Center on integrating flocks / chickens of various ages https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/adding-to-your-flock
