Hi all. I've been visiting BYC for a little over a year since I got my first chickens. I've learned a ton from the forums. I'm up late watching my first ever incubated eggs hatch and I figured now would be a good time to join
Good luck with your poultry raising adventures, and I hope you find everything you need to know. There is always something new to learn! Glad to have you here! See you around with the flock. I hope you have a successful hatch!
So far one has hatched successfully! He/she was an early bird and totally hatched last night (early day 21) before anyone else even pipped. Seems to be doing great and several others have pipped with one just starting to zip! Fingers crossed!
#2 zipped and pushed out in a flash. It looks like there is part of what I'm hoping is a mostly absorbed yolk sac still attached. I think I may have had my humidity a tad high at the beginning of the hatch. I'm just going to leave it alone and see what happens as I still have several eggs hatching. I've read several other threads with similar situations, but I'm still a nervous wreck!! Any one have any thoughts or advice?
