Hi!! New here, but been raising chickens a long time. I retired about four years ago and about a year ago,my Wife asked me if I'd like to have some pullets. Well of course I said yes and built a predator proof coop about 8'x8',and about 10'high. The pullets look like Brown Sex-links,so I got a White Leghorn Rooster about the same age[4 months] to go with them. They've been laying 3 eggs a day[1 each] except for in the coldest times of the winter. I've had a Hovabator incubator for about 30 years with the turner, but haven't used it in a long time. I had to fix a few places where the rats ate holes in it,but with some scrap foam sheathing,it was easy. I just filled the incubator after monitoring it overnight. Hopefully,in 21-24 days,I'll have some chicks for more eggs. lha
