Thank you to everyone who welcomed me... I did not know that Rhode Islands were aggressive. so that is good to know. I definitely only want a Delaware or Welsummer Rooster... both for aesthetics and to breed eventually. I actually have a friend who ended up with a huge amount of roos from buying straight run and she has a little Delaware boy that she is considering culling, so she said I might be able to have him if that is the case. I will definitely look for my state thread, although most of the posts I have found for NY are western and I am in Albany. sigh.
