These are my chicken breeds I have! 2 Buff Orpington, 2 Rhode Island Reds, 2 Speckled Sussexs,
1 Buff Brahma,1 Hamburg,1 Buff laced Polish, 1 Golden Laced Wyandotte, 1 Slivered Laced Wyandotte, 2 black Jerseys Giant... I forgot the rest
of my chicken breeds! LOL
I'll do a later post and put some pictures up of my chickens!!

I've had all of those breeds at one time or another over the past 50 years, and you have a nice mixed flock of good layers. The first breed I ever had were Brahmas, and they were gentle giants. My children made lap pets out of our Orpingtons, Brahmas, and Speckled Sussex. Good luck with your flock.

Hello! They are 34 week old! I got them on february 7th, they were less then 48 hours old when we brought them home! My father and I went to the feed store to start with only 2 or 4 chicks and then we came home with 13 chicks, and the next day we got 7 more! LOL

My family eats the eggs, I don't. And my mother rubs the eggs with Mineral oil, so the will last for months. But they don't lay a lot. It varies a lot, one day they will lay 18 and the next 3! lol
 
Yeah, we wanted 6 hens and one roo, ended up with 21!
Finally got it down to eight hens, and a roo, would like to get rid of one more, a golden laced polish, they arn't the best of layers and I read they don't do well in cold weather, we had below zero temps most of last winter. She might have to get a hair trim so she doesn't get her head wet this winter drinking. I can't get rid of her, my kids fell in love with the fluffy head.
 
Ooh, I almost got some polish chicks this summer but the timing didn't work out. I think I would deal with the poor laying just to laugh at their ridiculous afros!
