Hi the chicks we are getting are being kept on sawdust but I have read that you shouldn't be.
What would you suggest??
They are a week old now will be 10 day old when we collect them

From what I've read, the sawdust can be a problem if it's fine because the chicks will eat it causing impaction of their crops, they can also get it in their eyes. We use pine shavings (make sure it isn't cedar).
