Hi and welcome! What other projects so your kids do? We are a big 4-H (and FFA) family too, so you get bonus points in my book, lol.

We only have our son, we told him his choice of 2 and country ham (curing ham is very easy for us), so he picked egg laying chickens and Bucket Calf. I was hoping for one animal then a craft or wood working.

There are SO many projects now (compared to when I was a 4-H kid) - I think my kids pick up a new project every year. Is this his first year? I know our first year we started small and then spent time at the fair looking at all the other projects and get ideas for things they wanted to add.
Do they do Aerospace in your area? That might interest your son - what kid doesn't want to build/launch their own rocket?

No he is 9 now we started when he was 5 as a clover kid. This is his second year as a full member last year he took Bucket Calf and Reptiles. We are deeply into 4H wife is the club co leader and being Kohl is the only poultry project member she is the poultry leader and the last 2 years was the county council chairman. I'm now the county council chairman, I also have the bucket calf and ham projects in our club. We don't have any kids in our club in Aerospace, but I know a few of the other clubs in the county have had some. I've been judging it among several others like welding, wood working, cycling at the county fair for the last couple years.
