I bought 6 red pullets from tractor supply co April 1st. They're all doing great! I went back to the store today to pick up a few things and they had a couple other chickens. I wanted a little variety but they only had the one kind the first time. So I splurged an purchased 2 additional black sex links today.
I first introduced them this afternoon. I was not expecting to have an issue but I was quickly proven wrong. The old flock pecked at the newbies and chased them around. I took the new girls out and put them in a separate box for a few hours.
I recently tried introducing them again and it went much better this time. Still a little pecking but nothing crazy like last time. I also added an additional food and water source so they both have their own now. They all seem pretty sleepy so I took one girl from the old flock and the 2 new girls out to
see if they'd get along.
