Hello All. We are "new eggs" from sourthern central Florida. We have Wagon Wheel Horse Farm, LLC. You can check us out at our website or on Facebook. We just recently finished our coop. We have Henny Bantam Game Chickens. They were given to us by a friend out of Homestead, FL He gave us one roo and 6 hens. My DB let them go to setting instantly and now we are up to almost 50. We were not prepared so the coop was designed to be more function that form. Oh well, it works! Like I saaid you can view picks on those two sites. I have noticed that there are NO swap meets with in a two hour drive from here. Anyone intrested? I have a great place to host one and would love to do it here at the farm! Let me know!

From Syracuse NY. It seems almost everyone starts with a few chickens then quickly we want more or diferent breeds or to hatch and raise our own, then your coop is never big enough.
I have read to many new comers that succumb to chicken math. Start with 4 or 5 and they just keep coming. Good luck and enjoy your chickens. We love ours.

Hello from Oregon and welcome to BYC!

You know, when it comes to coops, if I had to choose between function and form I'd choose FUNCTION without a moments hesitation. Pretty isn't going to keep a chicken safe from predators! I say YAY FOR FUNCTION!
