You've got a regular "Heat-Wave" going on down there in Chaparral !!!
(I didn't think it got that cool down there by the border...although I was once in a snow/ ice-storm in Lordsburg.

We had a frozen egg in the coop yesterday. brrrrrrrrrrrr. Luckily the chickens don't seem too bothered by the cold.

Yep. The 4-corners is COLD.

I was expecting to see a dead frozen Chicken or two this morning. NOPE. They all survived that frigid COLD in their small coop. (They must have packed themselves so tight together that they looked like ONE BIG MULTI-COLORED pillow !!!

I'm feeding them 28% game-bird crumbles along with other stuff like cooked rice with Jalapeno.
(at least the Jalapeno will make them think that they are WARM.)

LOL My chickens haven't gone outside since Thursday, they flat refused to step out into the 14" of snow!

They crack me up!!!

It warmed up to 25 this afternoon, it was a downright nice day! I got a lot done with the horses, but the chickens STILL refuse to come out of the house... apparently my husband built too nice of a henhouse! lol

We got all the way up to 37 today, and it felt so much nicer than it has since Thursday. This warm December had me totally spoiled, and I want to protest the arrival of real winter! GAH!!!!!!!
