Well betty wants some cochin bantams For her birthday do any of you guys have a trio that a poor old man could buy to keep his wife happy? I realy did not want to buy chicks from the hatchery.If I cant find some I may have to sleep out with my hounds.

Laura was a doll about it though she's going to send me some eggs as a replacement. Guess I've got the bad luck because she said she's never lost a chick in shipping before this.

Sorry to here of your loss.I have never had that happen .Were they insured?What other breeds do you have ? If you get oner this way stop by for coffee.

They were insured and two of them survived somehow. They were 5 weeks old and the cochins that died were big strong healthy looking chicks. Judging by the shape of the box on arrival they weren't handled with care at all. Today I also got 5 silkies from another breeder they made the trip within 24 hours and they were in great shape

I just started getting chicks I didn't have any before today so as of now I just have the silkies and the ameraucanas.
I'm trying to find a decent used incubator now so I can try to hatch some eggs instead of getting more chicks shipped.
