He is one of the two Garrett black boys. Very fertile. He keeps all of my layers eggs fertile breeding naturally. I just don't need two from the same line. Say the word.

Aw, heck, I'll take him! LOL I just need to figure out when I'm going up there next...

Just so you know, you'll need an bigger BOX!!!!

Me too! I'm just now starting to understand color genetics for chickens. It's all very cool IMO. I understood the whites right off the bat since I have a Maltese and had a White German Shepherd (RIP Buster)
I first got geeked out about genetics in high school then when I was pregnant with my son I got a little obsessed with understanding the genetics behind red hair

I wish I was more motivated as I would love to be a genetic counselor.

Anyone know of someone in southern NM or west TX that sells peacocks? My babysitter went ga-ga over my silkies and was asking me if I knew anywhere she could get peafowl for her farm. I think she was looking at hatcheries online and not having any luck.

trying to contain my excitement...My Lav orps have been showing all the signs they are getting ready to lay. My normally quiet girls were noisy as could be in the box today... now to keep myself busy and leave them alone...

I'll keep you in mind when a friend of mine starts letting me know her Peacocks are multiplying. Every year her ladies hide in the mesquite bushes and show up with babies and she is looking for homes.
