Hey all!
I'm moving back to the East Mountain area this summer (finally!)  :weee and was wondering about the availability of organic chicken, turkey, and goat feeds out there.   I'm in Denver now and I'm spoiled with all the great stores out here.

I'll be located in Tijeras, anyone have any favorite places?  I'm trying not to move too much feed with me and want to have a place to buy once I get there.

Thanks!

Try The Hitchin' Post in Tijeras. I think they have organic chicken food. Not sure about turkey and goat.

lol no worries, im in Albuquerque ne area by I25 an osuna...just hatched more frizzles...blues and blacks so far
How fun! How much are you asking and how long will you have them? I just got back from Albuq and have goat kids on the way. Not sure when I'll be back. Maybe a day trip or could have a friend pick them up for me.

I hold can on to them long enough to see if they turn out frizzle or not, I should have some week olds and months old here very soon...

Hey all chicken lovers in New Mexico! I'm thinkng of raising those ridiculously expensive black Ayan Cemanis. They would probably run about 400$ per chick. Is there any interest out there?

That sounds like a fun bandwagon to jump on, but with so many people these days selling AC that are not pure, it would be really hard to get those prices unless you could insure pure lines. Have you read the Smithies thread? Great info there,
