Los Lunas here too!! WOW, so glad to touch base with you all...
I had chickens, ummm, 15 years ago, so it's really like I will be starting from scratch.

Which chickens do you recommend here in Los Lunas for eggs ... the run will be 12 X 20 feet and will have both sunlight and shade trees. There will also be a coop of course

what ever your heart desires. privett hatchery has a nice web page with a hundred breeds it seems. My pet chicken and other hatchery's have a ton of birds just pick your favorite.

We are starting out with these girls right now (our 1st flock just turned one week old) : Australorp, Silver Laced Wyandotte, Easter Egger, Golden Buff, Barred Plymouth Rock,Sicilian Buttercup and a Rhode Island Red.
