New mommy to baby chicks

It doesn't take long if they lay under the lamp and go to sleep, sometimes they don't wake up to move away from the lamp. Even 55w could generate enough heat to cause it.
I've had chicks do exactly that...I did manage to save a few by watching them very carefully.
That's all I've been doing now is watching them and another one is dying right now.

Would this be better?
Actually, no. It's not much better.
I'm sorry to be so very blunt but your poor little chicks are going to continue to die if you don't fashion a proper brooder.
Chicks need fresh air, one spot that is WARM (not hot) and most of the brooder cool. You should invest in a small thermometer so you know exactly how warm the warm area is. Making a brooder out of such a small container is basically putting them in a small oven.
Can you please find something with much more AREA? Think area, not volume. It needs to take up a lot more floor space.
You also need to provide constant fresh clean water and chick crumbles.
I would do as @007Sean and @Texas Kiki have suggested as well. These chicks also need a nutritional boost to help them recover from the heat stroke, if they can.
Good luck. Please remember, we are very much trying to help you help your chicks survive.

Can you get a few pictures of their poop too please.
Actually, no. It's not much better.
Please don't be sorry for being Blunt I appreciate it and I Am headed to the store now to buy supplies. Even though the 4 chicks I got Saturday are doing great and the only ones dying are my silkies that I got Friday one was dead before I even made it home. But just in case I'm Redoing everything
