Heh, thanks guys for all of your helpful optimism 
, but I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be able to make it work with my current situation, as much as I'd like to. I'm content in the meantime with browsing around and getting knowledgeable 
I have lots of articles and threads saved for future use if my situation changes!
