Hi everybody! I'm new to chicken keeping, but I love it so far! I started out with 6 assorted pullets (not sure what breed yet) ,but we lost one due to a poor run design.
The other 5 are doing great though. I'm already thinking about getting more next spring and they haven't even laid the first egg yet! I've always wanted to keep chickens and so far it exceeds my expectations. I can't wait till the girls start laying. My two year old has become a chicken whisperer already and my husband, and our two teenage daughters are even getting attached to them. I'll post some pictures. Maybe some of you can help me classify my girls.

Sorry about the chick you lost, glad the rest of them are doing well... yes, already planning on getting more chickens... welcome to chicken math, where six turns into twelve and then you wind up with about four times the number of chickens that you originally thought you wanted. If you want to try and figure out what your girls are you can post pictures in the What Breed/Gender forum
