New Mother to 8 Beauties

We just started raising our chicks 2 weeks ago. We have a Barred Rock, 1 Buff, 3 Gold Sex Links, 1 Black Australop and 2 Rhode Island Reds. We have decided to house them in an empty stall in our barn. I look forward to perusing the website as a member!

They sound like they'll be a colorful flock. I am partial to Buff Orpingtons. I have 2 little girls, and they have 6 Buff Orps as pets. They are very sweet, gentle and lovable birds. I'm sure you others will be nice too though!!

Thank you all for warm welcomes! (We are in TX BTW) My kids and I were just wrestling with the fact that we may not have Reds...the chicks don't seem to match the pictures on BYC...Oh well, they are named and loved already, I guess we will be surprised once they start to feather!
