New Mum. Dont know what to do!!

Hi everyone
I have just had some chicks( well my bantem has.) There was eleven eggs and I don't know how many have hatched. The chook had them under our bungalow out the back and I have just heard them. I have seen two little heads [peeking out from under mum. But I have no idea what to do with them???? I bought some chick feed and a watering dish and I think they are pretty protected under the house. My duck has gone a bit crazy and wont let any one go near them, being very protective. Should I just leave them and let them do their own thing??

Yep, just make sure food and water can be reached by the chicks and all should be good!

Well, depends. If the duck is protective its fine... if it's defensive against it's own territory... then that's a problem. It would be best to separate them but you know your animals the best.

I agree....just give them food and water....momma will show them where it is, and what to do. I would keep an eye on that duck tho...better safe than sorry.
