Hi everyone! My husband and I became Muscovy ducks parents back in June when our friend from the county had an abandoned duckling and no one to take it. We took it in because we didn't want "nature to take its course" as she put it. We honestly had no idea what we were in for. It's been an adventure to say the least. We bought two friends for it from a muscovy breeder near us so we had three. We named them Waffles, Magellan and Noodles. This group has provided us with TONS of knowledge and advice since we started this joirney , so thank you all!

One of them, Noodles died from unknown causes. We had an autopsy done that was inconclusive. We now have two that we believe to be female. We noticed that they are fighting eachother after we hold them and we don't know why. We obviously won't be holding them anymore but what could be the cause?

Beautiful Muscovies! I have never kept Muscovies, so I don't know why they'd be fighting after you hold them. If you don't get answers here, you could try posting in the Duck Forum. Welcome to BackYard Chickens!
Thank you! I didn't realize there was a duck forum! I'll definitely check that out!
