P.S. not to knock anyone who likes the color really. Just my opinion that would not leave me alone untill I posted it.

I rather like the color myself, a lovely, deep brown with beautiful iridescent sheen in the sunlight giving the birds an almost jeweled appearance. But yes, very few seem to discuss how badly it bleaches by the end of a summer spent out in the sun.

I have yet to see one with the sheen. If they had that I wouldn't be so disappointed in the color.

I don't like most of the matt colors. Need that sheen, gloss or iridescence.

It's more subtle than the sheen you can get on Black, which is perhaps why it appeals to me a bit more. Some Blacks look outright green in the right lighting and that doesn't do it for me at all, personally. Different tastes! I still would pick a highly iridescent Black chicken long before certain other colors available out there.
