Hello All. I am new to chickens, we just got our first 4 a few weeks ago so I have been researching here as much as I can. They are local store chicks and I am still not sure if they are all hens or not (although the store owner said they are) and even what breed they are. I am so excited to get to have fresh eggs and I am trying to get confidence to get meat birds as well.
I live on the SE coast of NC and had time to start posting thanks to being stuck in the house due to BERYL.
Included in my menagerie: 1 husband, 5 yr old boy, 4 yr old girl, 3 mutt rescue dogs, 2 firebelly toads, 1 stinky goldfish and any other random creature "rescued" by the kiddos.
I sell Pink Zebra candles in my spare time and I am trying to learn more about homesteading, gardening, etc and now that I have the chicks I am going to work on convincing my hubby to get a few goats for milk.

I look forward to chatting with everyone!

You will love chicken TV, as we call it. Could watch them 24/7. We pull up chairs and watch every evening! They are amazing.
